A common misconception between our canister products and competitive “Flam/Non-Flam” canisters is that you get more in a “Flam/Non-Flam” because it weighs more. The weight of the canisters is heavily influenced by the density of the solvent because most contain 75% - 90% solvent by weight. Methylene chloride is almost two times denser than the solvents used in our products. Because the solvent system carries the adhesive and then evaporates, it has no bearing on the amount of coverage. A better measure of the amount of coverage a product provides is the solids content of the product. WA 700/701 typically has a 5% - 10% higher solids content than competitive methylene chloride-based products.
