(SCAQMD)
South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD) is an air pollution control agency for all of Orange County and the urban portions of Los Angeles, Riverside and San Bernardino counties. This area emcompasses over 10,000 square miles
and has a population of about half the residents of the entire state of California. It is the second most populated urban area in the United States and one of the most affected by smog. SCAQMD develops plans and regulations designed to acheive
public health standards for air quality established by the Environmental Protection Agency and the California Clean Air Act.
